Two free Magazine Subscriptions - possible coupons?

I don't personally have a "baby" anymore, but I am excited to sign up for these two free  subscription: American Baby and Baby Talk.
Why you ask? Well, for those of you that have been couponing for awhile, perhaps some of you recall in February, these magazines happened to have a $10 off anything in the Amazon baby store coupons inside! There was no minimum purchase required and I was able to get my kiddos several bottles of Loreal kids shampoo for free because of this deal.
While I can't promise they will have something like that again in this magazine, I do know most stores are in full Christmas shopping mode, so we might just find some good coupons in this magazine! I am signing up in the hopes of getting some free coupons with the free subscription.
If they end up with no coupons, they might work for great art projects for my kiddos and sometimes a few articles are helpful for me :D

Food Town Nov 30 - Dec 6th

Food Town has a few good deals this week. Find out if you are close to one here.
If you are you can either shop in store, or take your ad to Walmart to price match. I typically just pick the stuff up at Walmart because the store closest to me is not very coupon friendly.
You can get on their home mailer list by stopping in to your store and asking to be put on the mailing list. Then, you should get the 2 page homemailer every week.

I am listing the items I think are a decent price from both the homemailer AND the in store ad which is much larger(20 pages!)
Food Town does NOT double or triple coupons and at least near me, they adjust coupons down to the value of the item.

6 for $1 Kids Size Oranges

5 for $1 Tangerines

.99 Francesco Rinaldi 24 oz spaghetti sauce
-.35 insert 11-6 RP (assuming right variety?)
Final price: .64

$3.33 Marcal Small Step 24 ct toilet paper
-$1 insert 11-6 RP
Final price: $2.33 or .10 a roll

$3.99 Paseo 8 count paper towels

Samsung Bluetooth Bundle for just under $1 after cash back and rebate (or money maker)

I have to say I am an avid Bluetooth user(just ask Courtney, lol). I actually currently have this exact bluetooth but went ahead a bought two more because the deal is so great.

Right now, Newegg.com has this bluetooth bundle on sale for $20.99 (down from $49.99).
There is also a $20 mail in rebate and currently shipping is free. So after rebate, just .99!
If you shop through Ebates, you will get back an additional 1.3-3% cash back on your purchase as well.

The bundle pack comes with the following: MicroUSB Car Charger, MicroUSB Travel Charger, Universal Phone 'S' Stand, Universal Leather Phone Case.
Even if you don't want the bluetooth, tell me where you can find a usb car charger for just $1, that makes it worth the deal right there!

Limit 3 rebates per household but all three must be submitted within 30 days of purchase in their own envelopes.

*If you are really daring, you can go through Ebates and shop through AccessoryGeeks for 9% cash back.  Purchase 3 and in step 1 of checkout, use code AGEEK1050 at checkout.  That will bring your oop to $44.97 , then when you go to step 2, enter AGEEK1050 in second promo box at the end and it brings your total down to $39.97 and mail off 3 rebates for $60 back.  A profit of $23 after cash back and rebates.
Or if you are a Upromise member, they are offering 16% cash back for another $2.80.
Rebate form for Accessory Geek is here (same as Newegg)

Discover Magazine Just $3.99 per year and get 5% cashback

As I have admitted in the past, there are few magazines I am willing to pay the price of subscribing. Well Discover is one of those as I can never find this as a free offer. However, this is about as hot as it is going to get! Right now, Tanga is offering a 1 year for $3.99 or a 2 year subscription for $7.98. WOW!

Plus, if you go through Ebates, you can save 5% cash back! Here is what you need to do.
1. Go to Ebates and select tab, shop all stores.
2. Find the T and select it, then scroll to find Tanga
3. Click to shop through that link and do a search for Discover Magazine(I didn't have to search as it popped up as a 24 hr deal).
4. Select Buy and decide if you want a 1 year or 2 year subscription(personally I would select 2)
5. Ignore the price for now, trust me
6. Start the checkout process by entering your address and phone number then next
7. On the next screen you should see a box to enter a coupon code. Enter DISCOVERY and then refresh your cart. You will see the discount taken off and your cost will be $3.99 for 1 year or $7.98 for two!
Finish your checkout process and enjoy :D I thought I was doing good when I got my husband a 2 year subscription for $8.29 after cash back, but this deal beats that!

Thanks SD

HOT!!!! Free Shipping at Half Price Books Marketplace - LIVE NOW!

I probably shouldn't be telling my husband about this deal as he will probably spend a fortune on books tomorrow while I am working.
If you are an avid reader(as my husband is) you WILL want to spend some time checking out Half Price Books Marketplace tomorrow! right now!  From Sunday 9 pm PST - Monday Midnight PST they will be offering free standard shipping on ALL orders!  No coupon code needed, just put the books in your cart and the free shipping should be reflected in your cart at checkout!
I was scouting out some books and noticed they have several Dave Ramsey books for just .99, with FREE SHIPPING!  I can NEVER find his books in store or on Paperback Swap, so I am certainly snatching up some of those!

Fine print: Items listed in HPB Marketplace are sold by independent seller and do not necessarily reflect inventory at your local Half Price Books retail location.  In store sales, discounts, promotions, coupons and HPB Gift Cards not valid at HPB Marketplace.

I just placed my order and got 8 books for $7.93, woo hoo!
Thanks SD!

Edit to add: I was just reading that some people are having issues now finding .99 books.  I am not sure if HPB decided to jack up the prices to cover the shipping or not, if so I am sorry guys, that really sucks if true :(  I have received my order acknowledgement receipt that shows my books were .99 and 1 for $1.

MyPoints and OpenSky Deal- best deal through Monday

There is a pretty HOT deal right now on Mypoints if you choose to join OpenSky.  Mypoints is a reward program where you can earn points by clicking on emails or buying online.  You can read about it on my post here.
OpenSky is a Daily Deal site.
Well, Mypoints is offering 50 points just for you to join Opensky.  (it costs you nothing, so why not join). When you do, you will get a $15 credit on Opensky for a purchase.  If you choose something to purchase before the end of the day tomorrow, you will also get free shipping.
Mypoints is even offering you an additional 3500 points after making your first purchase on OpenSky.  That means, you can earn 3550 points right away with $15 off the purchase of an item on Opensky.
3550 points will get you a $25 gift card at several locations(Gap, Macys etc), or $20 at several others (Home Depot, CVS, etc)

Use your $15 to purchase something cheap on OpenSky and then cash out your Mypoints for the $25 gift card and you have come out ahead.

Just a note about Opensky.  I have been a member for awhile now and the more curators you add to your follow list, the more emails you get flooded with.  Just make sure when you are done with your purchases, you either delete your curators or have them limit the emails (I was getting at least 20 emails a day!)

You could choose these Sticky Bellies sticker and spend nothing out of pocket*
*I cannot find the fine print on the mypoints site to determine if you actually have to spend money after the $15 credit to get your bonus 3500 points.

Thanks WhoSaidNothinginLifeisFree.

Stripes - Free Monday Shwag

Tomorrow is Monday and that means a freebie at participating Stripes stores. We won't know what that is until tomorrow, but I don't want you to forget since I have to leave for work way too early.
Be sure to check out their facebook page to determine the freebie. Print your coupon, and you will be able to redeem your freebie either Monday or Tuesday. In weeks past, we have gotten free fountain drinks, free breakfast taco, free lunch taco or free beef jerky. What do you think it will be tomorrow?
Personally I am rooting for a free breakfast taco. The ladies at my store make them fresh on the grill and they are so tasting. Then, Stripes gives a bonus of $1 fountain drink for "buying" a hot breakfast. So breakfast for a buck!

While on facebook, like my page too for up to date deal information. Not getting my updates on facebook?  Go here to learn how to fix that.

Are you Ready For Black Friday? This CVS is.......

I just had to snap a picture of this AWESOME prep job they did at CVS.  This is a special 4 foot section of shelving they moved and placed right next to the checkouts and filled both sides with most of the Extra Buck deals that start tomorrow for the CVS 3 day sale!

Remember I posted ALL the matchups here so start clipping tonight.  Your store should be starting the sale when they open and I was told by my store they are opening regular hours.  Get your rest and if you happen to spot me out shopping at CVS tomorrow, be sure to say hello!

If you are going to participate in the TRUE Black Friday deals, be sure to go here to check out the previews so you can plan your attack (I am sitting out everything but CVS this year)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, hug your loved ones and stay safe.  Feel free to share your HOT scores with us either here or on my facebook page :D

Walgreens - Free 8 x 10 Collage Print 11/23- 11/25

I love when Walgreens offers these free collage prints! It really makes me happy I can keep current pictures of my family in my office at work and it doesn't cost me a thing (except the time to create them).

Just go to Walgreens photo and create your collage print and enter code RGIFT2U at checkout. Choose in store pick up so you don't have to pay shipping and then head over to your Walgreens to pick up your print.
I typically "pay" online(even though it is zero) and then I don't have to rush out and pick up the print right away!

Small Business Saturday - Earn $25 statement credit for American Express cardholders

American Express is showing support for small business and the importance they play in our economy. In turn, you can get rewarded just by doing a few small things and making a purchase at a small business this Saturday using your American Express card. I don't personally have an Amex card, but I know several friends who do, so this is for them, in case they missed it.

1) Register any valid U.S. American Express® Consumer Card or Business Card by clicking on the link at www.facebook.com/shopsmall and follow the directions provided, and
(2) use that Card to make a purchase of $25 or more at a small business on November 26, 2011.

OR, if you are a foursquare app user:
1. Sync your Foursquare account to your American Express card at the website link below:
sync.americanexpress.com/foursquare
2. Use your Foursquare app’s (iPhone, Android, BlackBerry & other supported mobile platforms) Explore tab to find the small businesses participating in this event on Nov. 26.
3. Check in to the small business.
4. Tap the load to card button.
5. Buy goods worth $25 or more at the small business.

Foursquare says that: Shortly after your payment, you’ll receive a notification that you just got at $25 Amex account credit, which will appear on your Amex statement around 5 business days later.

Participating businesses will be revealed on Saturday, November 26.

You can choose either method to earn your $25 statement credit, but there is a limit of 1 statement credit per account, regardless of the method used.

Enjoy!

Canvas People Free 8 x 10 Print (must pay shipping) - I took the plunge

Ok, so I took the plunge and finally am going to test out the CanvasPeople. I have read about these offers for over a year now and finally decided I want to see how good they are.  I LOVE this picture of my girls because it is amazingly difficult to get them to both smile at the same time, especially while being this close to one another.
I just placed my order and it cost just under $15 in shipping for an 8x10 print I can hang in my room.  The canvas will be slightly smaller than this print as from what I have seen, this is a wrapping canvas.  I had to play with my picture a couple times before I got it centered enough to get both girls faces completely on the front of the canvas, but I don't think it took me more than about 10 minutes max.  And they accept paypal so bonus for me :D

I will post a shot of how it looks when I get it if you guys would like.  They said it will take 7-10 days for my order, if I like it enough, I just might consider more for my mother or mother in law.  Hmm!
If you want to order now, you can go here and get a free 8 x 10 or $55 off a larger canvas.  The shipping for the 8 x 10 was $14.95. I imagine it goes up with the larger canvas prints.

Have any of my readers ordered one of these before?  Give me the good, the bad and ugly! I am all ears.

Savings Tip - At least for you Women with smaller feet

Please don't let my title offend if you have larger feet and this does not apply.
This blog post was thought up by me due to my serious need for new running shoes. As I have told you readers in the past, I am an Asics girl, but darn if some are not expensive! I don't usually like the cheapest women's Asics because it just does not seem to fit comfortable, so usually the midline ones are just about right for my needs. Don't get me wrong, my last pair is still in decent shape for everyday walking, but I started working out again and have been running 1 hr a day, I need some shoes with support*.
So, I headed to Academy to try on some shoes. I like to try the shoes, find the style I like and then HUNT out the deal on that shoe, either in another store or online.
Well I tried on all the Women's in the price range I was looking, but just did not like the fit of the cheaper ones and did not like the price tag on the more expensive ones.  I ended up really liking the one pictured in this post, but I was NOT willing to pay $95 bucks for a pair of shoes(hey I'm frugal! BTW, this picture is taken from the Academy black Friday ad)  About ready to give up I remembered once a few years ago getting a shoe that was labeled Jrs, so I headed over to the kids shoes and guess what?  They had the SAME model shoe but for Jr sizes.*  And guess the price?  NOT $95! NOT $70, like the women's on Black Friday will be.  ONLY $40!!!!! For the SAME shoe! SCORE!
Of course the sad thing was they did not have my size in the girly color but I tried on black pair the same model and confirmed it fit.  After talking to the sales guy, he checked and sadly the 3 stores closest to me were also sold out of the shoe in my size:(
Well, I came home and looked at Academy online and not only did they have my size, but they are offering FREE shipping right now on footwear, WHOOP!!!!  I ordered my shoe and saved myself a ton of money, all by shopping the kids shoes!

There are several resources out there to help you find your kids shoe size but it is important for you to try on the shoe as the measurements are guidelines and can vary quite a bit between manufacturers.  But if you have a small enough foot (I wear a 7.5-8 womens) you might be able to save yourself some money the next time you are looking for shoes!  Here are two great resources for finding you kids size:
Livestrong.com
Nordstrom

Good luck!
Readers, I would love to hear your secret frugal tips.  We can all benefit from one another's knowledge on living frugal :D

Disclaimer: I was not compensated in any way for this post nor do I have any affiliation with Academy, Livestrong or Nordstrom.
*Edit to add: If you are a regular runner or using these for high impact workouts, you might want to look into NOT using this method. The shoes might have a slight different design for weight impact based on how women carry their weight vs how girls do. This is a GREAT savings idea for everyday casual wear though. My friend who runs marathons personally suggests going to Fleet Feet to have them help determine your proper shoe for more intense training, to avoid injury.

*I received a diabetes homemailer with 3 really good coupons for black friday's sale.
Two are listed next to the products, the third is a coupon for $6  off $30 health care purchase that should come in handy since several of these products fall under that category :D
Make sure you check if you have this homemailer before planning your scenarios.

Huge thanks to SD for some of the obscure coupon finds :D

WOW! Philips Norelco SensoTouch razor of under $20 - after rebate

Oh wow, I doubt Black Friday can beat this deal on this Philips Norelco SensoTouch Razor.
Regular price is $99.99 but right now Amazon has it marked down to $79.97. They are also offering a clippable $30 off coupon(just like the ones we have in the inserts), bringing the price down to $49.97, and free Super Saver Shipping.

After receiving the razor, you can fill out and mail this rebate for $30 back (you actually have until Dec 31st to purchase the razor and Jan 12 to mail in the offer, so if you are giving this to a loved one, you can give the gift then take the UPC for the rebate :P)
That brings to cost of this razor down to just $19.97! Wow, that is a super hot deal that I am totally jumping on.  I remember buying my dh's last razor 8 Black Friday's ago.  I remember because I was a pregnant lady standing in line at Best Buy for the new and greatest Braun razor.  While this razor is still decent, he has not had new blades in all that time and that Braun requires expensive cleaning solution, so I really want to get away from that!

*Edit, I just completed my order and I was not even charged tax and razor will arrive no later that Dec. 5th. woo hoo, done shopping for the hubs :D!

Thanks Hip2Save.

HOT!!! Charmin Basic Toilet Paper for .11 a roll!!!!! - Dollar General

So I went to Dollar General today to take advantage of the .15/can Libby's vegetables (after $1/4 insert 8-28 or 11-13 RP) and stumbled upon an awesome deal on toilet paper.

First, I saw this ad for the Charmin Basic 16 double rolls for just $6.50.  Using the $2 blinkies found at Kroger, I thought hmm .14 a regular roll of Charmin is not bad, and seriously, toilet paper doesn't go bad right?
Well, you can imagine my suprise, when I stumbled upon this:

WOW!  4 bonus rolls or the equivalent of 40 regular rolls of toilet paper.  The sign on these stated $10.50 but I said what the heck, that is what price checks are for correct?
So I hurried up to the register and asked for a price check and the manager uttered the magic words $6.50 ma'am!  YES!  That makes them just .11 a roll!!!!! SWEET!

*While you should be able to price match the Libby's vegetables at Walmart or Target(assuming they carry them), I don't think you will be able to price match this bonus pack since it is not the one in the ad.  So hurry to your Dollar General and check it out!

Due to the recent updates on facebook, you might not be getting KatyCouponers updates in your feed, please go to this post to learn how to correct this. (I have been posting more than ever before lately!)

Upromise added two new Charmin Coupons!

WOW! I just logged into my Upromise account and it looks like Charmin has added two hot new $1 off ecoupons.

Save $1 wyb Charmin Ultra Soft or Ultra Strong MegaRoll
and
Save $1 wyb Charmin Sensitive

Both are 1 time use and expire 11-30. Just log into your Upromise account and be sure to load them to your account before you go shopping. Not a Upromise  member? Go here to sign up. After that, add your loyalty cards for CVS, Kroger, Randalls (Tom Thumb) and Albertsons to your account and then load these coupons. When you make a purchase the money will go into your upromise account (read more about Upromise and how it works on my post here.)

These will go GREAT with the $2 blinkies we are finding at Kroger.
When I was grabbing the blinkies the Charmin was $6.99 at Kroger for the 12 count double rolls.
With these two offers combined they would cost $3.99 or ~.17 a single roll.

Heb - Free Canned Pineapple and a few Random Finds

I ran into an HEB yesterday to check out a couple prices and I stumbled upon a few things that were not advertised, but I thought might be a pretty good deal.

First off, who doesn't need some form of canned pineapple for the holidays?
HEB has all varieties of Libby's canned pineapples on sale for 2/$1. Combine this sale with the $1/2 insert coupon from 11-13 RP and get them free. I need some crushed pineapple for my Pistachio pudding I make during Thanksgiving, so this was perfect timing. I also picked up some sliced pineapple to use for Christmas ham, yum! (the coupon did beep but cashier noted it did not specify can size and only excludes tropical fruit mix)

If you have not been able to make it out for the Petsmart deal I posted here, perhaps you can get some cheap cat treats at your nearby HEB. After $4 off 4 insert from 11-13 RP, you can get them for .07 each.(these coupons will beep at HEB due to the way they are coded, but they picture Whisker Lickins on the coupon so that should help you convince the cashier they are correct usage)

The famous $1 off Cover Girl B YQ is back.
At my store, the single Cover Girl eyeshadows are priced at $2.24 everyday, making them free if you combine this coupon with the $2.50/2 Covergirl insert from 10-30 PG.  Be sure to carry the HEB coupon policy with you to show that policy states you can combine their B Yellow coupons with manufacturer coupons(the insert Cover Girl coupons beep at HEB due to the way they are coded).

The Blue Bonnet margarine is only .75 at HEB so with the $1/3 IP, you can get them for just .42 each when you buy 3 packages.  Not too bad of a price but I do miss the days of free butter and margarine :(
*Edit to add: I just realized I did the Food Town matchups before this IP was available.  If you have a Food Town near you, the Blue Bonnet is in the homemailer ad for .66 each, making them just .33 each after coupon wyb 3!

Have you printed the $1.50 off the ICBINB! All Purpose sticks yet?  If you have, take them to HEB to get them for just .89! (I hear Walmart sells them for $2.47 for those of you without HEB).

For those of you not near a Food Town or Gerlands, but want to get in on the deal I posted about the Panko bread crumbs here, good news!
HEB has them for just $1.68 each. Use the $1 off any Kikkoman's coupon from the MDA coupon booklets found at Randalls (these were available back in August, picture here)
Pay just $1.36 for 2 boxes and get back a .75 catalina off your next HEB item purchase.  Not as great as free, but pretty good if you use this product (I use them to make baked chicken nuggets for the kids and because they are crunchy, the girls just gobble them up!)

And finally:
IF you have gift cards on your shopping list, you might want to look for this yellow coupon in your HEB store.  You can save $5 on a $50 purchase or $30 on a $300 purchase of most gift cards they sale (excludes HEB, Visa, American Express, Mastercard, prepaid wireless, long distance calling, and theme park cards) One per customer.
Yellow coupon expires 11-24

Free Magazine Subscription at Magazines.Com

You can get a select few magazines for free right now at Magazines.com. (Parents, Working Mother, Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, Parent and Child, Parenting the Early Years, Parenting School Years, and a select other outdoor and car magazines.)
First, head to magazines.com facebook page here. Like them and go to the tab Fan Event. There, you will receive a code for $5 off at Magazines.com (good through 12/3)

Do not click to buy through there. Go to Ebates here and select shop all stores. Pick the letter M to find Magazines.com.
If you see where it has 2.5-26% savings, click there to see the codes offered.
The second code listed is HOLIDAYMAGS and if you click to shop through that, it will pull up all the magazines elgible for this $5 code. You can then select any magazine under $10 and stack the codes for a free subscription.
I already subscribe (free) to Parents magazine, so I chose Parents School Years because most the Parent magazines come with coupons and to be honest most the articles in the main Parent magazine is for soon to be or new parents.
Choose your magazine and when you go to check out you will see a box pop up asking if you have code.

When you click that box, enter Holidaymags in the top and hit apply to order.  If will show $5 off your account, then ahead and click that box again and enter your unique code from the Magazines.com facebook page.  When you do that, you will see another $5 come off your account (or zero out if you choose a magazine under $10.)  Submit your order and you are done!

Thanks Hip2Save.

You can choose to purchase a more expensive magazine if you like as well.  Ladies Home Journal will just be $2 after both codes.
